Cable television subscribers may soon be able to pay for just the channels they want, rather than paying for bundles that include channels they have no desire to watch.
The CRTC has concluded public consultations which included a close look at so-called “pick and pay” options.
Bell, Shaw and Telus all agree with the concept, saying subscribers should not have to pay for channels they don’t want.
But there is concern about the possible high cost per channel on an individual basis.
